Mission Statement
To offer quality education in the somatic arts and sciences, emphasizing anatomy, theory, research, advanced technical skills, and intuitive and emotional sensitivity.
Educational Goals
To advance the holistic and objective aspects of therapeutic massage and bodywork through the creation of books, continuing education workshops and courses, practice supervision, and other internet and in-person learning experiences.
To create learning programs that encourage efficient and effortless body use, encourage the internal and business growth of the practitioner, and maximize assimilation of techniques that are safe, effective, clinically relevant, and respectful of the individual.
To design courses, books and other media that incorporate contemporary adult learning theory, maximize all students’ learning, and emphasize problem solving, dialogue, and clinical application of material.
To contribute to the ongoing development of the bodywork profession through networking, collaboration, dialogue, research, and creative endeavors.
